Stand alone avatars Ozzy Osbourne and MOTÖRHEAD‘s Lemmy were among the “headliners” of the 2023 edition of the iconic global traveling metal festival Ozzfest. The event that launched the careers of countless bands, among others SLIPKNOT, CONFUSED, SYSTEM DOWN, INCUB, LAMB OF GOD and many others, came to Decentralized late last week and also included “performances” by the author MEGADETH and SLIDING TYPEincluding through their official music videos.
2023 Ozzfest was part of the second edition Metaverse Music Festival (MVMF) from Decentralized, the largest user-owned and operated virtual social world in the world. This year’s MVMF featuring 100 confirmed artists on uniquely curated community genre stages and newly created, immersive Web3-enabled music experiences. It represents a platform of digital assets Kraken, MVMF Attendance was free for all, with no VR, ticket or headset required.

This year, Decentralizedduplicated the music in the metaverse. MVMF introduced the latest in metaverse technology, offering listeners truly unique experiences only available in the virtual world. DecentralizedThe unique Emotes feature allowed every creator around the world to create custom movements and gestures that brought your avatar to life and were central to how concertgoers had fun dancing and expressing themselves during the festival. The global venue also featured new motion capture technology from Move.ai, which enables motion capture without clothing, and Kinetix.tech, which aims to empower creators to create emotive NFTs with just a phone camera. Presentation partner Kraken also dropped a series of NFT wearables exclusively for festival goers, introduced an NFT pop-up gallery and hosted a special post-fest party.
