The Samsung Galaxy S22 series surprised us with its small but incredible design and impressive specifications. Looking at those, it’s clear that the Galaxy S23 series has some shoes to fill. Although there are rumors circulating on the Internet about a quick release, a new report puts them to rest, revealing that the upcoming flagships may stick to their usual release schedule.
Galaxy S23 series: Release date
A recent report suggests that the Galaxy S23 will launch earlier. The launch will be done through an unpackaged event in San Francisco. Historically, the company has released its flagship smartphone series a few weeks after launch, but if that is anything to go by, then the Galaxy S23 series could go on sale on February 17th .
The report went on to say that Samsung is launching the Galaxy S series in March, but fierce market competition is forcing Samsung to push the release window forward to February. This will help the company to show the sales of the flagship phone in the first quarter report itself.
Galaxy S23 system processor and camera
In addition to that, the report says that although the Galaxy S23 series will mostly rely on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for processing needs, some models may also ship with the Exynos 2300. So far the highest model – Galaxy S23 Ultra – can play. 200MP sensor developed by Samsung, which is almost double the pixel compared to the 108MP unit that preceded it.
There were rumors that the 200MP unit in question might be an ISOCELL HP3 sensor, but a trusted Ice Universe tipster suggested otherwise. So if the Ultra will still feature 200MP but not with the next HP3 sensor, then the next one is the ISOCELL HP2. This, according to the same consultant, should bring a significant improvement in night photography.

Meanwhile the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus can sport a 12MP front camera for selfies, according to GalaxyClub. This should result in a noticeable increase over the 10MP unit from last year’s model. Other cameras will have the same resolution, although there may be improvements in other areas.
Galaxy S23 Plus with Ultra battery power
Meanwhile, Galaxy Club has already managed to get some battery numbers and their capabilities. According to a Dutch publication, the Galaxy S23 Plus’s EB-BS916ABY has a capacity of 4,565 mAh, which Samsung can market as 4,700 mAh. This is slightly larger than the Galaxy S22 Plus but smaller than the Galaxy S21 Plus. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s EB-BS918ABY has a capacity of 4,855 mAh and a capacity of 5,000 mAh. Again, this information has not been confirmed, so it’s best to take it with a grain of salt.
Galaxy S23 system configuration
Samsung, like Apple, follows a 3-year trend in design innovation. The same is expected to be true for the Galaxy S23 series, with the flagship phone more or less replicating the S22’s design. Ice Universe claims, however, that the Galaxy S23 could feature larger bezels.
A small difference between the S22 and S23, Samsung widened the four bezels for the S23 by 0.15mm, it is much bigger than the S22, I can’t understand why Samsung is doing this, I have to think again that there is a spy in Samsung. pic.twitter.com/KwdelDbHrF

It’s unclear why Samsung would go back on a design issue like this, but we hope it has something to do with better durability.
